Nexus: Festival of Animation, Comics, Graphic Novels and Moving Image was a multi-day celebration of visual culture, held annually 2011-2014 at the Melbourne Polytechnic (formerly NMIT). Nexus provided opportunities for students and members of the public to learn from and engage with leaders in the field through panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, screenings and book fairs.

Industry Guests included:
- New York Times best-selling writer Tom Taylor (Marvel, DC, ABC)
- Oscar-award-winning animator Adam Elliot (Mary and Max, Harvey Krumpet)
- Film storyboard artist David Russell (Return of the Jedi, Batman, Moulin Rouge)
- TV director/producer Gillian Carr (Nickelodeon, Disney)
- Comics artist Colin Wilson (2000AD, Blueberry)
- Studio head Tim Kentley-Klay (Wheelbarrow, XYZ)

The festival was hosted and run by the Bachelor of Illustration, Melbourne Polytechnic (formerly NMIT).
